HOPE Initiatives has four strategic thrusts.  As this strategy matures these will work together to create significant synergy through intertwining ministry opportunities.

Compassion Ministries

Our Compassion Ministries consist of Block Ministry, Compassion Coalition of Rochester and our Follow-up Ministry. Each of these ministries seeks to serve people and to meet both material and spiritual needs.

Block Ministry is a weekly outreach from the HOPE Initiatives Operations Center. The ministry meets on Saturday’s at 9AM and after an hour of prayer and worship, members of multiple churches pack their vehicles with groceries, bibles, love and smiles and take the love of Christ to people right were they live. As relationships are built, trust is developed and lives are transformed.

Compassion Coalition of Rochester provides food, clothing and other material items to churches as they serve the neighborhoods near their church. This ministry operates a food warehouse at the HOPE Initiatives Operations Center.

Follow-Up Ministry is a ministry that visits people that we have come into contact with through our normal business activities. This ministry uses volunteers to serve others by going to their house with groceries and prayer and on occasion providing additional services.

Work Skills Training
The HOPE Initiatives Work Skills Training Program uses our furniture making business to provide hands on teaching in our wood and metal shops to those who may be unemployed, underemployed and undereducated. In addition to hands-on training, the soft skills necessary to navigate the workplace are also taught. HOPE Initiatives partners with other agencies to provide trainees of all ages and backgrounds.

HOPE Enterprises
HOPE Enterprises is a collection of businesses that serve the Monroe County area. Through contracts with our local county government we have been able to bring hope to people who have been previously unemployed or underemployed. Our employees receive job training, life skills training and have the opportunity to be involved in a daily spiritual program. HOPE Enterprises provides the financial resources to support all of our other programs and ministries.
